Cognitive Process Profile ( CPP )
The CPP is a computerised measure that tracks a person’s cognitive processes and indicates the way in which they are likely to solve unfamiliar problems. It provides insight into an individual’s thinking styles, judgement capabilities and potential. The CPP is used mostly for selection and development purposes.
Graduate Reasoning Test ( GRT1 ) & General Reasoning Test ( GRT2 )
The GRT1 and GRT2 consists of three separate questionnaires and provides information on an individual’s Verbal, Numerical, and Abstract reasoning abilities. The Verbal component assesses the person’s ability to use words and vocabulary in a logical way. The Numerical component consists of computations and numerical transformations and assesses the person’s ability to use numbers logically and rationally. The Abstract component requires the person to recognise patterns and similarities between shapes and figures, and assesses the assimilation of new unfamiliar information. The GRT2 can be applied in various situations and is usually utilised for the purpose of selection, guidance, or development. The GRT1 is intended for the selection of specialised positions that require a high level of training and education.
Critical Reasoning Test Battery ( CRTB2 )
The CRTB2 is a critical reasoning battery that caters to people at a graduate level or those with experience in managerial roles. It is utilised in the selection of these types of roles, and assesses the individual’s comprehension and critical thinking based on complex verbal arguments (in Verbal reasoning component), and tabular representation of numerical problems (in the Numerical reasoning component).
Technical Test Battery ( TTB2 )
The TTB2 is suitable for the purpose of selecting those working in technical, mechanical fields or trainees in these areas. The TTB2 indicates an individual’s ability on three technical areas, including Mechanical Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, and Visual Acuity.
Clerical Test Battery ( CTB2 )
The CTB2 is suitable for selecting individuals for clerical and administrative work. The CTB2 assesses a person’s ability on four areas, which includes Verbal reasoning, Numerical reasoning, Clerical Checking, and Spelling.
Learning Potential Computer Adaptive Test ( LPCAT )
The LPCAT is a dynamic computerised measure that assesses learning potential using non-verbal figural reasoning. It can be used in occupational guidance and for selection purposes. The LPCAT is a useful measure that can be used to counter inadvertent discrimination against disadvantaged groups. As such, it is valuable in a diverse culture such as South Africa.
Tests for Selection and Training (TST) / General Intelligence Assessment (GIA)
The TST / GIA indicates the speed of processing information and ability to learn and develop new skills. It is utilised for the purposes of Selection, development, career guidance and benchmarking.
Cut-e Scales range
The Cut-e ability range include various levels of testing as well as industry specific measurement. These aptitudes are characterised by their innovation and fast completion. The abilities that are measured include Verbal Abilities, Numerical abilities, Abstract logical abilities, as well as specific cognitive abilities such as Memory, Concentration, Reactivity, and Hand-eye coordination.
Sparks Creativity
The Sparks tool is a computerised assessment that measures an individual’s creativity. The Sparks can be used to assess potential in roles that require creative thought for selection or development purposes.
Saville Aptitude Range
The aptitude range of tests include a various range of measures that assesses Verbal, Numerical, Diagrammatic, and Abstract reasoning. This range is used for selection and development purposes.
SHL Verify Range
The SHL range of measures includes aptitude for predicting performance in selection and development. This range includes general measures for Verbal, Numerical, Inductive, and Deductive reasoning. It may also include calculation, Checking, Mechanical, Spatial and Reading ability. The verify range can be adopted to relevant job levels, such as technical, Operational, Supervisory and Management levels.
SHL Skills Tests
The skills range of measures gives an indication of the individual’s proficiency level in specific areas such as the Microsoft Suite, Java, Data Entry, Filing, ASP.NET, or SQL.
Competency Assessment Series ( CAS )
The CAS range of test consists of various simulation type exercises specifically designed with South African contexts and case studies. The range include In-basket exercises, Leaderless Group discussions, Presentation exercises, and / or Role play scenarios. The exercises cover various levels of work and provides insight into the person’s behavioural competence. The CAS can be applied for the purposes of career development, selection, coaching, assessment centres, and development centres.
